The Church of Santo Domingo de Parita is located in the district of Parita in the Herrera Province, Panama. It is distinguished by having beautiful altars or colonial retablos where stylized motifs abound in the form of fruits like pomegranates and flowers, such as sunflowers and other details that simulate lace in an excellent and fine polychrome wood carving with gold paint. Most baroque churrigueresco the eighteenth century, and whose sculpture expresses the Catholic symbolism. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1926.
